ASG Eye Hospitals raises Rs 50 cr from Sequoia Capital

BANGALORE, Jan 18: ASG Eye Hospitals, a Rajasthan based group of super speciality eye hospitals, today announced that it has raised Rs 50 crore from Sequoia Capital.
The funding will be used to support expansion in central and north India, it said in a statement.
Started in 2006, the group is currently present in six cities across Rajasthan. It now plans to expand to Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Bihar.
Sequoia Capital India Advisors Managing Director Abhay Pandey said: “ASG Eye Hospitals brings the best technology in healthcare to Tier II and Tier III markets and offers advanced and competent eye care services in the region”. (PTI)
