JAMMU, June 30: The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has extended the deputation of IAS officer Syed Sehrish Asghar for a period of another two years.
Asghar, an IAS officer of 2013 batch of Punjab cadre, is presently on deputation to Jammu and Kashmir and is posted as Deputy Commissioner Baramulla. Her deputation was due to end today.
Last month, the UT administration had written to the DoPT and MHA for extension in deputations of two IAS officers including Raghav Langar and Asghar, both of whom belonged to Jammu and Kashmir but had been allotted Uttarakhand and Punjab cadres.
As Langar’s deputation is due to expire in October this year, a decision on further extension of his deputation is expected to be taken by the DoPT later.
