JAMMU, Sept 4: ASHA Workers Union here today staged protest demonstrations at different places in Jammu division.
The protesting ASHA Workers demanded that their assured incentives amounting to Rs. 2000 should be revised to Rs.10000 and the UT share should also be added to it.
They also demanded hike in their wages by Rs. 1000 per year and their mobile allowance should be enhanced to Rs. 500 per month.
Their other demands were providing them blue coat instead of uniform and also black leather shoes and hike in money for their uniform to Rs. 3000.
The protesters also demanded release of their pending incentives, remuneration, allowances etc.
More demands included provision of ASHA’s Rooms in all PHCs/CHCs and hospitals.
Protesting ASHA workers said that they should not be given any additional work other than the one prescribed to be assigned to ASHA workers.
The protesters said that if their demands were not conceded soon then their protest will continue.
