JAMMU, Sept 2: A meeting was organized in Ward Number 55 Kunjwani of Gandhi Nagar constituency to discuss the problems being faced by the people related to roads, street lights, sanitation and other development issues.
In the meeting, BJP UT General Secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul and BJP leader Baldev Singh Billawaria listened to the public grievances.
On this occasion, a large number of displaced Kashmiri Pandits apprised Ashok Kaul about their problems.
While interacting with the people, Kaul assured them that their grievances would be addressed and much improved basic services will be provided to them. He highlighted the development works done in the UT in the last few years. Ashok Kaul said that Kashmiri Pandits have started visiting Kashmir after decades. They are performing religious rituals by visiting the temples of Srinagar, he added. He said that the security arrangements in Kashmir are in such a way that Kashmiri Pandits can come back to their homes as there is no need to worry about any kind of security.
BJP leader Billawaria informed that he has asked the officials of concerned departments to immediately prepare estimates and start the construction of repair works of remaining roads in the area.
Various schemes have been launched by the BJP Government in the centre for the benefit of the people, Billawaria added.
Inderjit Kaur, Joginder Singh, Pawan Chib, Ajmer Singh, Neenu Mehra, Subhash Singh, Som Nath, Hriday Nath Kachru, Jawahar Lal and many others were present in the meeting.
