JAMMU, Apr 28: Expressing serious concern over the alleged attempts to defame Dogras, senior BJP leader and MLC Ashok Khajuria has demanded a Supreme Court monitored CBI probe into not only Rassana murder case but also into  the sequence of developments following the incident.
“There is a deep rooted conspiracy by the pro-Pakistan and anti-national elements, who are hell bent to portray entire Dogra community in bad light and trigger a communal divide in Jammu over the murder of eight-year old girl in Hiranagar,” he said in a statement while cautioning people against the designs of separatists.
Stressing that only a CBI probe can ensure justice to the deceased minor girl,  Khajuria also demanded a Supreme Court monitored high-level probe to identify the elements, who gave the incident of heinous crime a communal colour and then tried to create an impression that entire Dogra community was pro-rapist.
“These anti-national elements, who are working on directions of Hurriyat Conference, Pakistan and a section of separatists in the establishment, intentionally targeted Hiranagar area of Jammu division, which has given birth to our great leaders like Girdhari Lal Dogra, Thakur Baldev Singh and others,” he pointed out and added that the dubious role allegedly played by a senior PDP Minister in instigating people should also be investigated.
The senior BJP leader maintained that national interests are supreme for which everything can be sacrificed. He added that people of Jammu have always remained in forefront in protecting the honour of nation besides maintaining communal brotherhood, which is evident from the age old bondage between all communities here. “Gujjars and Bakerwals are part and parcel of Dogra culture and any attempt to create a wedge between them would not be allowed to succeed at any cost, ” he added.
