KALAKOTE, Feb 26: Expressing serious concern over the grievance of hundreds of labours who have been denied payments against the electrification work done from last one year by the PDD authorities, National Coordinator AICC Vichar Vibhag and former legislator Ashok Sharma has demanded immediate release of payment to the people of Kotchardwal area of Rajouri District.
While addressing public meeting at Lami-Keri, he said that at the time of carrying pole, cable, transformers, etc on head load upto 20km the labours were assured adequate payments by the local engineers. Double and triple bills have been issued against same persons even to those where no Electrification or connection have been given which is very unfortunate, he added.
Mr. Sharma stressed for road connectivity, health and animal care facilities in the area and fresh survey for BPL and polling station at Village Reet to ensure maximum polling.
On the occasion, ‘Chlo’Chlo Panchayat Abhiyaan’ for Panchayat Kotchardwal was organized by Pradesh Youth Congress, State secretary, Nakul Sharma and his team and Liaqat Ali, Panchayat Incharge of the Abhiyaan was registered as the first youth unemployed member followed by many others.
Over three dozen grass root workers of National Conference (NC) led by Haji Nazir Ahmed and over a dozen such workers of BJP led by Moluvi Mohd Sadaq, joined Indian National Congress. Five member each ward committees were constituted to identify left over families with respect to Electrification, BPL and MG NREGA to prepare ground report and submit the same to the Government.
