JAMMU, Nov 16: Ashok Sharma Vishisht’s book `Bharat Ke Gumnam Nayak/Nayaikain,’ poetic introduction of India’s great hero’s in the field of art culture, literature, great warriors of India was released at an impressive function held at Press Club, Jammu today.
The stage was graced by a veteran authority on foreign affairs, Persian, Sanskrit, Padam Shree KN Pandita who was the chief guest. Padam Shree Dr Jitendra Udhampuri presided over the function. Col. (Retd) VK Sahi and Dr PC Shastri Professor Ranbir Sanskrit Sansathan, Dr Sanjogita Sudan Dy Medical Superintendent Super Specialty Hospital and M P Sharma Vashisht leading Theaterist were the guests of honour on the occasion.
They highly acclaimed the book and the poet for writing on great heroes of the country.
Dr Pritam C Shastri also spoke on this occasion. He complimented the writer for highlighting the national heroes.
Dr Sudan spoke about the literary contribution of Ashok Sharma and role of doctors in the society. MP Sharma Vashisht highlighted the importance of culture and literature in the society. Anoop Mahey, grandson of the great freedom fighter Dhanwantari Mahey spoke about the role and contribution of Dhanwantari Mahey in the freedom struggle.
The programme proceedings were nicely conducted by Sania Bali a talented student of MAM College Jammu. She mesmerized the audience by her melodious and eloquent presentation which was highly appreciated by the audience.
