JAMMU, Aug 14: The entry forms for the First Ashok Sodhi Memorial Award for Best Photograph, are available at the Press Club of Jammu for the Jammu and Kashmir based working journalists.
Press Club of Jammu, in its first ever kind of this initiative is going to hold Ashok Sodhi Memorial Awards function for best Photograph on his birth anniversary falling on September 21.
All working journalists based in Jammu and Kashmir can apply for the photo contest while the applicants can get the form from the office of the Press Club of Jammu at nominal fee of Rs 100 during office hours.
Awards shall be for three categories with cash prizes of Rs. 11,000, Rs. 8000 and Rs. 5000 while five consolation prizes of Rs. 2000 each will also be given and there will be no specific theme for the photographs.
The published photographs clicked between August 1, 2014 to August 15, 2015 will only be considered.
Senior and professional journalists comprising Raju Kerni, Mehraj Din, Channi Anand and Shishupal will be among the members of jury to adjudge the best photographs.
Each participant can submit only one photograph (size 8″ x 10″) to the Press Club of Jammu.
The entries should reach to Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Secretary General, Press Club of Jammu.
