SAMBA, Jan 12: SSP Samba, Dr Abhishek Mahajan has placed ASI Surinder Singh of Police Station, Bari Brahmana under suspension for his involvement in corrupt practices. Devender Singh Bandral, DySP DAR Samba has been asked to hold the Departmental enquiry into the matter against the erring ASI and submit the report to the SSP Samba within fortnight.
The official order issued in this regard here, today said that besides indulging in corrupt practices the ASI was using his official position for unlawful gains and tarnishing the image of entire Police Department.
He has been directed to report to DPL Samba immediately and deposit his uniform in DPL Stores. However, he shall be entitled to Subsistence Allowance as admissible under rules during his suspension period.
