ASI’s son among two arrested in attempt to murder case

JAMMU, Feb 9: Police arrested two absconders including son of an Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of Jammu and Kashmir Police, who were evading their arrest in attempt to murder case registered around two months back with Gandhi Nagar police station.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gandhi Nagar police station conducted raid and arrested two persons, who were involved in attempt to murder case registered against them at Gandhi Nagar police station on December 13.
The accused have been identified as Amandeep Singh alias Aman, son of Khushwant Singh (ASI in Police Department) and Rajinder Singh alias Lucky, son of Beant Singh, both residents of Nanak Nagar.
They were wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 298/15 under Section 307, 341, 323/34 RPC and 4/25 Arms Act with Gandhi Nagar police station on December 13.
They had attacked Kulbir Singh, son of Harcharn Singh of Nanak Nagar on December 13, 2015 at Shivaji Chowk, Nanak Nagar and were at large since then.
A glamour motorcycle has also been seized, which was used by the criminals in the stabbing case.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar police station Inspector Bishnesh Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Sachin Gupta, SP South Shaazad Salaria and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
