JAMMU, Oct 18: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) today said that the Kashmir centric parties instead of misleading the people on Gupkar Alliance and restoration of Article 370 should concentrate on restoration of peace in trouble torn Valley.
In a meeting held at ASKPC Bhawan here, today it took serious exception to recent statement of Dr Farooq Abdullah on Article 370.
President ASKPC, Ram Krishen Wangnoo while criticizing the statement of the NC president said that his China articulation of Article 370 was totally shocking and unacceptable. Dr Abdulla being a MP was supposed to restrain from such unconstitutional and anti India pronouncements. It speaks of his desperation while passing remarks that with the help of China Article 370 would be restored in J&K, with seeing the past practice of Dr Abdulla one could imagine that he used the China statement for seeking power but he should understand that days were gone when such statements yield fruit for him. His urged the Gupkar Declaration leaders to contribute their sincere efforts for the progress of people which they achieved since revocation of Article 370 and Article 35 A.
Ravinder Raina vice-President while addressing the party workers cautioned the people against such irresponsible statements from Dr Abdullah and other Gupkar Declaration signatories and said in such circumstances ASKPC had a great role to play in defeating their designs vehemently. As observed in the past such provocative statements became the main reason for the exodus of a peace and non-violent community.
Bhart Bushan Bhat general secretary said that the Central Government needs to be very strict against these 6 Gupkar Declaration leaders and should never bow in front of their demands. It was seen that in past 14 months people of Jammu and Kashmir were happy with the abrogation of Article 370 and people concentrated on development and forgot past bloodshed in the UT.
Others who attended the meeting were Bimal Wantoo, Shuban Pandit, Ravi Raina, Jawahar Lal Pandit, S K Raina, , R L Koul, Bushan Bhan, M L Bhat and Ashok Dhar.
