ASKPC expresses concern over grabbing of religious places

JAMMU, July 15: A meeting of All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) held today under the chairmanship of its president, H L Chatta, wherein the members expressed anguish for open sale of temple land in the Valley by vested interests since 1990, which are the cultural heritage of the exiled community.
The meeting invited attention of the Government on the issue stating that the Baba Dharamdass Mandir at Sathu Barbarshah has been deprived of hundreds of kanals of lands as land mafias have grabbed its assets and land.
The meeting alleged that this is not the case of only Baba Dharam Dass temple but the land mafias have grabbed a number of religious places.
The president, ASKPC requested the Government no to allow the high handedness of anybody and no sale or any type of attorney to those who claim to be the owners without having State Subjects.
