ASKPC for reopening of cases against JKLF

JAMMU, Feb 18: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) in its meeting here today held under the chairmanship of its president H L Chatta demanded re-opening of cases against all JKLF activists including Yasin Malik who were responsible for killing of members of minority Pandit community, Sikhs and other nationalist forces and forced the mass exodus of the community from Valley in 1989-90.
The meeting in this connection has made an appeal to both Central and State Governments.
R K Wangnoo demanded constitution of a judicial commission to probe these killings and fix responsibility. Veena Gurtoo another activist of the organization criticized the Chief Minister’s stand on Guru and accused him of double speak when he was in advance informed of Guru’s hanging by GOI.
Ravi Raina another activist demanded declaration of migrant Pandits as internally displaced people, while Deepak Raina demanded Rs 25 lakh be paid to over aged youth for their rehabilitation.
Mr Chatta while supporting separate homeland for Pandits in Valley demanded Government should carve out a separate place for the settlement of Pandits in Valley. S L Mujoo, Subash Chatta, Ashok Dhar and others also addressed the meeting.
