ASKPC highlights demands

JAMMU, June 9: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) meeting was held here today under the chairmanship of its senior vice president, R K Raina to discuss the problems of displaced KPs.
Addressing the meeting H L Chatta, general secretary of the organization lambasted those who are demanding self -rule and autonomy. He said such leaders are playing in the hands of fundamentalists and reiterated that no one can challenge the accession of J&K with India.
R K Raina said resolution of J&K is only possible with carving out of a separate place for KPs within Valley where there will be free flow of Indian Constitution. Bharat Bushan demanded grant of Rs 25 lakh to each over aged youth, while Virender Kuchroo demanded enhancement of cash relief.
M L Kashkari demanded medical aid for ailing persons of the community while Ravi Raina demanded loans for the displaced traders and businessmen. Veena Gurtu demanded minority status for KPs. The meeting through a resolution extended full support to KP youth protesting for enhancement of cash relief and resolved to intensify the struggle in this regard.
