ASKPC, KPC observe Accession Day, warn separatists

JAMMU, Oct 26: To pay tributes to heroes  of Accession who foiled the Pak designs to annex J&K, ASKPC president HL Chatta today visited Rai Baguna in Samba district, the native village of martyr Brig Rajinder Singh  and paid floral tributes to him.
While paying tributes to Brig Rajinder Singh he said it was due to his and other martyrs supreme sacrifices that J&K became the permanent part of Indian Union.
B K Bhat said that his (Brig Rajinder Singhs’s) sacrifices will be remembered always as his name has gone in the annals of history with golden letters. A large number of villagers also attended the function on the occasion.
Shiban Khabri a free lancers said had Brig Singh not laid down his life the accession would have not been possible. He warned separatists and others challenging accession. Veena Gurtoo, Sarla Ji and others also attended the function.
Meanwhile the KPC activists also observed the Accession Day today by organizing function at Delhi and Jagti township in Jammu.
The KPC president Kundan Kashmir while addressing a function at New Delhi on the occasion said the accession is full and final. He said the instrument of Accession signed by Maharaja was in no way different than the accession made by the other princely states.
He lambasted the separatists and other political parties misleading the people of Kashmir on the issue for their vested interests.
KPC vice president ML Raina and others also spoke on the occasion. At Jagti township the KPC leaders including T N Bhat, T K Dhar, R K Bhat, Babloo Ji, Rajnath and Santosh Ji paid rich tributes to martyrs who laid down their lives in 1947 to make the merger of J&K with Indian Union possible.
