JAMMU, Dec 25: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) today organized an interactive session with community journalists’ to get a feedback about the issues pertaining to Kashmiri Pandit community and the way forward.
The interactive session was held under the chairmanship of Advocate Ravinder Raina, President ASKPC and attended by Dr TK Bhat, General Secretary and the members of the executive committee of ASKPC.
Speaking on the occasion Adv Raina said that ASKPC being the parental organization of Kashmiri Pandit community wants to keep itself abreast with the latest aspirations among the Kashmiri Pandit community and the way to deal with them for which community journalists were the best source of feedback to take the movement forward.
He dwelt at length about the contribution of ASKPC in community work right from 1931 by adopting the agitational path wherever required and taking steps for the welfare of the community through dialogue and other means.
He said that community needs to adapt to the latest requirements for which ASKPC has initiated a process of contacting community leaders of different fields to get a feed back and suggest way forward.
In this connection the community journalists also spoke at length on the contours of new developments in the society and how community leadership and the organizations particularly the parental organization ASKPC can contribute for the upliftment of the society and create awareness among the youth about the organization and deal with new requirements in media in the modern world.
The scribes also suggested a number of ways to deal with media by utilizing the latest technology and involving young blood in the organization to keep pace with the new generation.
They also asked them to take up the mantle as a parental organization and lead the community for facing the challenges by involving all and remaining apolitical as far as community organizations were concerned.
Prominent journalists who attended the session included Sameer Bhat (ETV) Anil Bhat (PTI), Sominder Koul (ANI) King C Bharati (Earth News/Delhi Vision) and Sunny Koul (Early Times).
The ASKPC executive committee included Veena Gurtu, president Mahila Wing and CL Bhat Vice President.
