JAMMU, Oct 4: Women Wing ASKPC in a meeting here today held under the leadership of Ms Veena Gurtoo its president has appealed the Director Social Welfare Department to ensure the appointment of migrants in the Social Welfare Department as well as Anganwari.
As per a release, Ruby Mutoo demanded that the displaced Pandit women be absorbed under special employment drive in Handicrafts and Handloom organizations.
Sarla Raina demanded that the Government should also enroll displaced women for various loan schemes so that they can stand upon their own legs. Miss Priya Khanna demanded scholarships for KP students and also stressed that the Pandits should be given due share in Government jobs.
Addressing the meeting Veena Koul demanded 12 gas cylinders be provided to each family per year on subsidized rates. The meeting was also addressed by Miss Veena and Ms Phoola.
