SRINAGAR, May 22: Scores of aspirants today staged protest against State Road Transport Corporation.
The aspirants said that after the due process was followed and the aspirants gave the written test in 2016 the post has been cancelled by the Managing Director, JKSRTC.
“We have given examinations for the posts that were advertised in 2016, but after the due process was followed and we sat in the examinations, nothing has been done so far,” said Junaid, an aspirant.
The aspirants said that after the posts were notified, they were re-advertised afterwards and were turned into contractual posts. “The post was re-advertised, we sat in the examination and the list of eligible and non-eligible candidates were also published,” he said.
“After the list of eligible and non-eligible candidates was published, they also put the merit list with roll numbers and subsequent points, even after that nothing is being done, we have heard that the MD has cancelled examination even when there were no issues that could have forced them to cancel the examination,” they said.
“Authorities should keep in consideration the future of 350 aspirants in mind and should take steps to further the process of the recruitment as soon as possible,” they said.
