SRINAGAR, Jan 2: Aspi-rants who have applied for the posts of Tehsil Social Welfare Officers at divisional level today castigated Jammu Kashmir Service Selection Board (SSB) for its failure to release selection lists of candidates who have appeared in interviews eight months ago.
Aspirants said that these posts were advertised vide notification 06 of 2013, 01 of 2014 and 02 of 2014 by SSB and those who qualified for the written examination were interviewed in April 2016. “They were told that the selection process will be completed within a period of two to three months but almost eight months have gone but SSB has not released the list,” said the aspirants.
They said more than two hundred unemployed youth are waiting for the list but the slow pace of selection make their life miserable, “We have been waiting for the list from last eight months. We approached SSB but the authorities said that they are preparing the list, but since then too much time has gone by. Now we do not know what to do? We have been left at God’s mercy,” they lamented.
When contacted, an official of SSB said that the list was in its final stage some four months back but ‘lackadaisical approach’ from the employees has delayed it unnecessarily.
