JAMMU : An Army jawan, who got martyred in Assam ambush, was today cremated with full military honours in his native village in Kathua district.
Wreath laying and military funeral of Rifleman of 29 Assam Riffle was held this morning at his native village Khank in the district.
Wreaths were laid on behalf of Chief of Army Staff, Army Commander Western Command and General Officer Commanding, Rising Star Corps. Brigadier Bimal Monga, Station Commander, Basholi and Janglot attended the funeral along with other officers and jawans of the Army.
The Station Commander conveyed deep condolences to the family of the martyr. (AGENCIES)
