Assembly, Council Secretariat resumes work at Jammu

JAMMU, Nov 6: On the opening of the move offices at winter capital this morning, the Deputy Speaker Legislative Assembly, Nazir Ahmed Gurezi inspected Assembly Secretariat and took stock of the arrangements made for its smooth functioning.
During the visit, the Deputy Speaker inspected various sections including Accounts, Establishment, Legislation, Translation, Reporting, H&P, Legislative branch and Library.
While interacting with the staff, the Deputy Speaker listened to the issues of the employees pertaining to their suitable accommodation and other facilities. He assured them that their genuine problems would be sorted out on priority.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Speaker stressed upon the employees to work with utmost dedication and come up to the expectations of the common people.
Referring to new Legislature Complex, the Deputy Speaker said a detailed review would be held soon to assess the physical and financial progress of the project.
Later, the Deputy Speaker also visited MLA hostel and took stock of arrangements there. He directed the management to maintain cleanliness in the premises and the hostel rooms. He also directed the management to provide requisite facilities to the legislators.
Special Secretary LA, R L Sharma, Deputy Secretaries and senior officers of Assembly Secretariat accompanied the Deputy Speaker during the inspection.
In connection with opening of the move offices, the Secretary Legislative Council, Abdul Majid Bhat, along with the senior officers of Council Secretariat took stock of the arrangements made for its smooth functioning.
The Secretary inspected various sections including Accounts, Establishment, Legislation, Translation, Reporting, H&P, Legislative branch and Library etc.
Bhat also interacted with the staff members and listened to their issues and grievances pertaining to accommodation and other facilities. He assured them that the genuine problems would be sorted out on priority.
