Assembly Resolution

Sir,
The new assembly has passed a resolution for restoration of special status of the erstwhile state. This is a good step taken by the new government including the previous cabinet revolution of restoration of statehood. But the major opposition party is opposing the same disregarding the decision of the majority. One fails to understand how a special status can be harmful to the people of the region when some other states like Bihar and Andhra Pradesh are trying hard to get the same. Some states like HP, Gujarat and Sikkim have already some laws for protecting land and job rights for the locals. If the article 370 can’t be restored, there should be some alternate law to protect the rights of the locals.
