Assistant Professor candidates demand declaration of results

Srinagar, Sept 10: Assistant Professor aspirants today demanded declaration of the results of their interviews for the post that were conducted by the Public Service Commission (PSC).
Some of the candidates told media that the PSC is not giving them any response and due to helplessness they were forced to talk to the media regarding their issues.
They said that the posts for the Assistant Professor were advertised in 2017, then it was delayed and the interview was held in the first week of November 2019 and then the Commission gets dissolved in the 3rd week of November 2019.
According to the norms after the interview is held within 24 hours the results are to be declared.
“But we have been told that the new Commission will be formed and our result will be declared,” they said.
They rue that the now the Commission is back and more than two months have passed even after its formation, they said, the results are nowhere to be seen
They said that there are reports that we will have to appear in the interviews afresh. “Even when we call the concerned, they tell us that we will have to appear in the interviews all over again,” they said.
The aspirants requested LG Manoj Sinha and the Chairperson, PSC to come to their rescue and publish the selection list for which the interviews have already been held.
“Why do we have to go through a fresh round of interviews when our interviews were held as per rules and regulations; our selection should be made public,” they asked.
