JAMMU, May 10: Association for Welfare of Senior Citizens Jammu held a meeting of its life members, via newly launched ‘www. saynamaste.in’ and suggested the administration to give some relaxations in the ongoing lockdown because of COVID-19 pandemic.
The members highlighted the problems being faced by the senior citizens in visiting doctors for health problems during the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown and said that the administration must take remedial actions at the earliest, in this regard. They suggested that the administration should consider issuing at least few e-passes in favour of office bearers of the Association so that in the hour of need, they could render required help to a needy senior citizen.
The Association further said that situation in Jammu city was mostly under control and therefore, with the exception of certain localities (well within the knowledge of authorities), there was need to relax restrictions.
