Association resents delay in transfer of teachers

UDHAMPUR, Oct 5: Monthly meeting of Jammu Kashmir SSRB Teacher/Master Association was held here today under the chairmanship of State President Rakesh Singh to discuss the burning issues of teaching community.
During the meeting, Rakesh Singh expressed resentment over unprecedented delay in affecting transfer of Teachers who have completed their tenure at present place of posting. He also demanded that there should be an overall increase in the cadre of Masters in the School Education Department to cater to the need of staff in rural areas.
“There should be directions to the DDOs to sanction child care leave to all the eligible and needy female teachers who apply for the same as it came to our notice that many DDOs consider it their discretion power to sanction child care leave, ” Singh said
Others who spoke on the occasion, included Vikram Gupta, Arun Gupta, Rakesh Sharma, Ravinder Kumar, Tarun Thakur, Ajay Mathur and Avinash Thappa.
