JAMMU, Dec 28: Department of Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) here today under the supervision of Assistant Director, Alka Misra celebrated National Consumer Day at Rehari.
On this occasion the public was made aware of their rights and duties.
Speaking on the occasion Assistant Director, Alka Misra asked the people to check price of goods before purchasing them and also check quality and quantity of the products, terms of sale and ask for cash memo.
She also informed them about the toll free number for lodging complains in case their rights as consumers are violated.
Alka Misra educated the people about State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission which has been set up with its office at Rehari and said that at district level there is District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission set up by the government.
