JAMMU, Oct 26: Preserving culture & ethos and promoting young and budding artists of the community, Athrot Cultural Foundation, frontline cultural organisation held an elimination round of Kashir Kalakaar Season-6 and selected 17 artists for grand finale of the same here today.
13 artists from Kashmiri Pandit community drawn from different parts qualified for Senior, Junior and Mini Junior Category of Singing, while 4 artists qualified for the Dance Category.
The artists who mesmerized the audiences with the presentation of Kashmiri songs and got the nod of the adjudicators included Shruti Raina (14 yrs), Lavanya Koul (11 yrs), Daksh Bhat (11 yrs),
Naisha Bhat (5 yrs), Vishwas Pandita (18 yrs), Vanshika Kaw (7 yrs), Dakshyani Pandita (12 yrs),
Parthi Dhar (12yrs), Suhas Koul (12 yrs), Pranav Pandita (19 yrs), Nirmit Raina (13 yrs), Gandharav Kaloo (19yrs) and Meeru Dhaman Raina (22 yrs).
Meanwhile, those artists who gave judges a tough time before picking the final four in Dance Category included Ananya Koul (9 yrs), Naisha Bhat (5 yrs), Vihaan Tikoo ( 12 yrs) and Nitya Bhat (6;yrs).
The Finale is scheduled to be held in 3rd week of November, 2022, which is being organized by Athrot Cultural Foundation headed by Pardeep Pandita, Ajitesh Peshin, Abhimanyu Navun and RK Pandita.
Today’s event was adjudicated by a panel of experts including Dr Deepali Wattal, Dr Ramesh Nirash and Shanti Lal Sidha, while the proceedings of the programme were conducted by anchor Jeevika Misri.
The event was attended by a galaxy of artists and audience, besides parents of the participants.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks presented by social activist, Kanwal Peshin.
On the occasion, an announcement was also made for participation in Essay Competition on Kashyap Bandu being organized by Dr Ramesh Razdan.
