SAMBA, Mar 28: Samba police has arrested the ATM cheater at SBI ATM near Main Chowk, Samba today.
Police said that, a team of District Special Branch (DSB), Samba along with police and local people apprehended the ATM cheater at SBI ATM near Main Chowk Samba, this afternoon.
Police said the cheater was arrested after an army man came in ATM for taking out the statement of bank record in State Bank of India, where one person was already present. The army man asked him for help in getting the statement, but the cheater changed his ATM card.
When the army man saw that his card has been changed, he immediately tried to catch the cheater but he managed to fled from spot. The people after getting the information regarding the incident followed the cheater and over powered him near State Bank of India and handed over him to Police.
The accused has been identified as Sandeep Kumar, 23, son of Balwant resident of Haryana.
In this regard police has taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation.
