ATM fraud case solved, accused arrested

POONCH, Dec 22: Mendhar Police solved a ATM fraud case with the arrest of the accused.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a lady with Police Station Mendhar stating that her ATM card of JK Bank has been replaced by one unknown person and had withdrawn Rs 40,000 cash.
keeping in view of sensitivity of the case, SDPO Mendhar Zaheer Abass Jaffri constituted a special team comprising of SHO Mendhar Inspector Manzoor Kohli, PSI Rohit and others.
The team immediately swung into action and arrested the accused, who was identified as Javid Ahmed, son of Mushtaq Ahmed of Kasbalari Mendhar District Poonch. The team also recovered Rs 40,000 cash from his possession.
A case under FIR Number 400/2021 under Sections 420 and 382 IPC has been registered at Police Station Mendhar and investigation started.
