Attached CEO evicted from office

JAMMU, June 4: The Chief Education Officer, Kathua was today forcibly evicted from his chair in the CEO’s Office, here which he occupied in violation of standing attachment orders of the Deputy Commissioner, Kathua issued on May 10 by him asking him to report to DC Office as the former had issued the transfer orders of teachers, which was banned by the Government.
DC Kathua, Rohit Khajuria told the Excelsior that CEO was attached by him some time back for violating standing orders of Government by ordering transfers of the teachers in the district. He said after such complaints were received by him, he issued his attachment order to DC Office and his charge was assigned to another officer.
The DC said though the official was attached in his office, he did not join the duties during the period and this morning he suddenly visited the CEO Office and assumed the chair forcing the district administration to take action against him.
The Deputy Commissioner said as the matter was brought to his notice, he went to the CEO’s Office to take the stock of the situation there where he came to know that the CEO was looking into some files and official documents.
He said when the CEO was asked that under what capacity he assumed the chair after he had  been already attached to DC Officer, he showed reluctance to leave the office. Later the SHO Kathua was given orders to evict him from the office. When police reached his office, the CEO said that he was not feeling well so he was shifted to Hospital for medical checkup and later he left for his house to Jammu.
It may be recalled that DC Kathua on May 10 had attached CEO, Nirmal Kumar Choudhary to DC Office Kathua and charge was given to Aruna Sharma, District Education and Planning Officer till regular Officer was posted by the Government in his place.
