RAJOURI, Dec 24: BJP senior leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta today visited Mahari Gujran, a remote border village of Rajouri and took stock of the various problems being faced by the local residents.
He patiently listened to the various problems and issues of the local population here. The residents informed MLC that in the absence of a link road to the area the locals of the area especially the womenfolk and children are facing a lot of problems. To redress the issue, MLC Vibodh immediately announces an amount of Rs 5 lakh out of his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for construction of 1 kilometre road.
To pay homage to the martyrs of yesterday’s unprovoked firing by Pak rangers in the Keri sector of Chingus, two minutes silence was observed.
While addressing the gathering, Vibodh said that yesterday’s barbaric and unprovoked firing by Pak rangers is an act of cowardice and those involved will soon face suitable reaction from our brave soldiers.
Vibodh said that the people of Rajouri and Poonch always stood united against such unholy acts of Pakistan. He further added that present Government at the State and at the centre is well aware of the hardships being faced by the border people and this is the main reason that Government is trying every bit to ensure the welfare, safety and security of the border people who always stand united with the forces in the hour of need.
While cautioning the locals against the nefarious designs of a hostile enemy country, Vibodh said that present time is the high time when everyone of us must resolve to double our efforts to defeat the evil designs of our enemy.
