As we are the second most populated country in the world with a very high population density, it is not possible for any government to provide jobs, especially in the government sector to every citizen. Increase in population may bring a number of challenges like food shortage, unemployment, lack of medical facilities, pollution, global warming, inflation, non-availability of energy resources and many more. The only solution to overcome future challenges lies in putting a check on increasing population and making every citizen AtmaNirbhar (self-reliant) so that every one of them could play a key role in nation building. We can make citizens self-reliant by imparting quality skill-based education. National Education Policy 2020 (NEP-20) which has given utmost importance to skill based education right from elementary level is a welcome step in this regard. We should open some schools (at least 1 school in each education zone/block) which should be unique of its kind with hi-tech world class infrastructure having a vast area not less than 10 acre. These schools should be for classes 6th to 12th with two wings (one wing for classes 6th to 8th and other wing for classes 9th to 12th). Every such school must be provided with on-campus employment generation activities like organic farming, modern agriculture including hydroponics, vertical farming, mushroom cultivation, bee-keeping, dairy farming and many more such activities. This school must be self-reliant and must be able to generate income. It must be provided with facilities like rainwater harvesting, compost formation, solar energy, biogas plant, poly house, hydroponics, toy making, candle making, etc. It must provide nutritious meals (including milk, butter and fruits) to children whose raw materials must be grown in the school premises. The school must have sufficient space for sports activities. It must be provided with specialized teachers who could develop 21st century skills among the children. All those children who perform better in academics and sports at primary level must be enrolled in this hi-tech self-reliant school so as to provide them a world class learning environment. The school must be provided with facilities which could help children to do research right from their school age. It must be a day boarding school which should be located at a central location in the zone/block.
