UDHAMPUR, July 22: An unsuccessful attempt of burglary was made by some unknown thieves in Kambal Danga branch of Jammu and Kashmir Bank, here last night.
The matter came into light this morning when some locals noticed that rear window of the bank branch complex broken. People immediately contacted some bank staff members, who informed the matter to Rehambal Police Station. The Police party, led by SHO Ajay Bhatt reached the spot and started investigation.
The police did not allow anyone to go inside the bank till Forensic team reached there and started its work. It was found that thieves had tried their best to break the chest containing cash but they failed in their attempt.
After the bank staff counted cash and examined record, it was found that everything was intact. The police said that some suspects were brought to the police station and detained for questioning. The Rehambal Police has registered a case and started investigation.
