UDHAMPUR, Mar 7: A minor girl of class 10th was allegedly molested by a youth, who attempted to outrage her modesty when the victim was on way to home from her school, here under the jurisdiction of Chenani Police Station.
Acting on complaint of the victim, a case under FIR No. 26/2021, under section 341/354/376/511/IPC was registered today at Chenani Police Station even as the accused, identified as Babbar, son of Jamal Din of Samroli, was still evading his arrest.
As per the complaint, lodged by father of the victim, his 16-year old daughter was on way back from her school to home, when the accused wrongfully restrained her path near his house and attempted to outrage her modesty. As the victim raised alarm, the accused fled away.
