Raina made these comments during a condolence visit to the house of Dr. Shehnawaz Dar in his native village of Nadigam in Budgam, who lost his life in the Gagangir attack along with six construction workers on 20th October.
He said those who are enemies of peace, enemies of Kashmir, and enemies of the people of Kashmir are continuously trying to disturb the situation in the region. “They are conspiring and attempting to do so. But we must all unite to fight against this conspiracy to destroy peace,” he said.
He emphasized that while the Government, police, and paramilitary forces will perform their duties, the people must also play their part. “We must all face these challenges and conspiracies together,” he added.
Raina highlighted that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir has improved significantly over the last ten years. “However, these conspiracies and attempts to create unrest continue. We must stand united to counter them,” he said.
He said that the priority remains peace, tranquility, happiness, and brotherhood. “No one wants bullets to target a member of any household. No one wants that,” he said.
Calling for an end to violence, he said, “The game of bombs, guns, pistols, bullets, and grenades must stop.” He added that the weapons serve no purpose. “A bullet does not distinguish whether its target is from a village or a city, whether the person is Hindu, Muslim, or Sikh,” he said.
Raina condemned the killings, saying that those responsible have committed an unforgivable sin against humanity. “They have killed humanity itself. This is a grave sin and God will punish them for this,” he said.
