UDHAMPUR, May 17: An Automatic Ticket Vending Machines installed at Udhampur Railway Station is not functional for the last two months.
The machine was set up five year ago to switch over to the online consumer transaction mode, wherein passengers can vend their own tickets using smart cards. The machines were installed when the ATMs were provided at the station and the objective was to enable passengers to get their own tickets.
Due to non functioning of the machine, passengers are facing a lot of trouble and have appealed the Railway authorities to repair the same as early as possible.
