POONCH, Aug 3: About a score of youth from Army soldier Aurangzeb’s village in Mendhar have bowed to take revenge of his killing by joining Army or J&K Police.
Aurangzeb was the Army jawan hailing from Mendhar who was kidnapped while travelling to his village from Shopian area to Poonch on the eve of Eid and then killed by the Armed militants recently. His house was also visited by Army chief and Defence Minister some time back.
These youth including a dozen boys who returned from Saudi Arabia recently, have expressed their desire to join Army or J&K Police and take revenge of the killing of their friend and mentor Aurangzeb who became source of inspirations for many in the area. Some of the local youth including Karamat Hussain, Taj Mohd, Mohd Javed and others said that they will like to join Army if they got opportunity.
