Authorities close clinical establishments for violations

SRINAGAR, Nov 22: The authorities today closed several clinical establishments in Bemina for violations of the Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act.
According to details, a team led by the District Registering Authority and District Health Officer, in collaboration with the Drug Department, conducted a routine inspection of clinical establishments.
The inspection uncovered several violations under the CERR Act, including unregistered laboratories and illegal medical practices.
The team found that several establishments were operating without proper registration or in violation of regulatory standards.
The establishments facing action include Crestcare Laboratory, Jhelum Valley Chemists and Druggists, for operating an unregistered SRL Laboratory in-house, Kids Health Clinic, City Clinical Laboratory, Shah Colony, Peace Diagnostic Center, TCT Clinical Laboratory, Sajad Medicate Chemists and Druggists, for operating an unregistered consultation chamber, and Atulaya Healthcare Imaging and Laboratories. All these establishments are located near SKIMS, MC&H, Bemina.
The team acted swiftly and closed the establishments on the spot for failing to comply with necessary registration requirements.
