JAMMU, Nov 14: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) has claimed that authorities concerned have failed to deal with spread of dengue fever.
“Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu has no dengue testing kits and medicines,” claimed JWAM leader, Sunil Dimple.
In a handout he stated that Dengue has infected many localities of Jammu city and the Government hospitals along with the private clinics are crowded with the affected patients.
Dimple specifically mentioned about New Plot, Janipur, Sarwal, Rehari, Bakshi Nagar and Talab Tillo areas of Jammu West Constituency where he said many Dengue cases have being noticed.
“JMC has not taken enough measures to deal with the Dengue spread,” he maintained adding, as the Government hospitals lack medicines and dengue testing kits the patients are forced to get their bloods tested from private labs at exorbitant costs.
JWAM leader said, though the JMC Commissioner has passed immediate direction for fogging yet more is required to be done in this regard.
