AVM for review of existing provisions of reservation

JAMMU, Feb 25: Aarakhan Viorodh Manch (AVM) has ridiculed previous and present Central Government for not holding any review of existing provisions of reservation which have been augmenting the tendency of politicking on the basis of caste, religion and region.
Addressing a meeting Ram Pal Seth, president, Aarakhan Viorodh Manch, Jammu said that it is worrisome as it has dangerous disastrous consequences for the national unity and integration.
Seth blamed Government for Jat Andolan as it has been providing concessions after concessions and reservations to appease a section of society ignoring others who are poor, needy and deserving.
Seth demanded review of existing reservation policy as its results are going to be very tragic for the Nation. He said that it is harsh reality that system is based on caste, religion and region. Moreover existing reservation policy of the Government is undemocratic and irrational creating a gap and ill will between caste and caste.
Yash Pal Sanson, general secretary of the Manch demanded total abolition of reservation and sought Special Support Measures (SSM) for the poor of all castes.
Madan Lal Narad, Som Nath Sharma, Ravi Sawhney, Raj Kumar, Bhushan Pargal, Deepak Khajuria, V K Sharma, Ashok Kumar, Madan Abrol were present in the meeting.
