Avoid visits at hospitals, clinics for minor ailments: DAJ to people

JAMMU, Mar 20: Doctors Association Jammu (DAJ) has urged the people of Jammu and Kashmir to avoid hospital and private clinic visits for minor ailments and sicknesses.
A handout of DAJ stated that this is for the welfare of society at large as doctors, hospitals and clinics can be potential sources of catching the dangerous COVID-19 virus.
Dr. Balvinder Singh, DAJ president stated that it is their responsibility to treat their fellow civilians even in worst of the times like the present one and for that they are enlisting the doctors of different specialities to be contacted for medical advices.
He named these doctors as Dr Manjeet, Dr Ashfaq Kohli, Dr Zakir in Poonch; Dr Shalinder, Dr Javed, Dr Irfan, Dr Arshad in Rajouri; Dr D.P Singh, Dr Arundev Singh, Dr Yunis Ali, Dr Sourabh Katoch, Dr Amit Dewan, in Jammu; Dr Amit Thakur, Dr Angral, Dr Bishan, in Kathua; Dr Zaheer, Dr Ashwani, Dr Prakash Atri, Dr Vinod, Dr Balvinder Singh, in Udhampur; Dr Javed, in Mendhar; Dr Naresh, in Akhnoor; Dr Sajid Iqbal, in Kishtwar; Dr Naveed, Dr Fareed, in Banihal: Dr Rafi in Ramban; Dr Irfan Bandey, Dr Yudvir, in Doda and Dr Liyaqat in Reasi.
He also informed that for any emergency the doctors are there for 24*7 for the public.
DAJ leader appealed to the people to cooperate and regularly clean hands, avoid crowded places, keep at least one meter distance from others, avoid unnecessary travel, use masks and sanitizers and if any one feels flu-like symptoms such as coughing, sore throat and fatigue shortness of breath, they should seek medical help.
