JAMMU, Feb 7: Government Polytechnic Jammu today organized an awareness camp and certificate distribution function at village Phallain Mandal near Satwari.
On this occasion, the certificates were distributed among the successful candidates trained at Extension Centre under Community Development through Polytechnics (CDTP) Scheme by chief guest of the function, MLA Marh, Sukhnandan Chowdary and Arun Bangotra, Principal/Chief Co-ordinator, CDTP Scheme.
Dr Manohar Lal Rana, BMO Sohanjana, KS Manhas, HoD Civil/Internal Co-ordinator, CDTP Scheme, KS Bhatia, HoD Mechanical and local Sarpanch and Panchs were present on the occasion.
The candidates were presented the certificates on successful completion of 6-month training course in Cutting and Tailoring at Phallain Mandal, Satwari.
An awareness camp on “AIDS and Medical Problems” was also organized in the village for the benefit of the locals under CDTP scheme.
While speaking on the occasion, Sukhnandan Chowdhary stressed the local populace to take maximum benefits of the Centrally Sponsored Schemes and appealed the youth to get training for skill developments to earn their livelihood.
Arun Bangotra Principal/Chief Co-ordinator told the gathering benefits of the CDTP scheme, which is a Centrally sponsored scheme under MHRD, Government of India providing free vocational skill development training to the weaker section of the society.
Dr Manohar Lal Rana, BMO Sohanjana along with his team of doctors and ASHA workers gave a detailed lecture on the AIDS and general health problems among the females. Dr Rana also highlighted various schemes of the Health Department and appealed the local people to utilize the medical services provided by the Health Department.
