JAMMU, Sept 14: Awareness programme on nutrition called “Poshan Abhiyan” was conducted at Kharah Balli on the theme “Kuposhan Se Poshan Ki Aur- Thamein Kshetriya Bhojan Ki Dor”.
The programme was organised under the chairmanship of Vice Chairman DDC Jammu, Suraj Singh Bhau and DDC Member, Bhalwal Brahmana Bhushan K Bral and conducted by the office of CDPO Khour.
On the occasion, SDM Khour Anil Kumar Thakur, all sectoral officers, Anganwadi workers, beneficiaries, Sarpanchs and Panchs of respective Panchayats were present.
CDPO Khour Tanvi Gupta briefed the beneficiaries and general public about the importance of balanced diet, nutritious meals and use of local food.
She also threw light on various schemes of the department like Ladli Beti, PMMVY and their benefits.
