JAMMU, Oct 5: CDTP wing of Government Polytechnic for Women organized awareness program in collaboration with Grameen Vikas Sangh at its extension centre at village Raje Chak in Akhnoor Block.
On this Occasion, Officers from NABARD, State Bank of India, J&K Bank and Block Development Office Akhnoor interacted with villagers and apprised them about the schemes and facilities being extended by these agencies for the welfare of rural masses.
They encouraged the villagers to avail the benefit of these schemes for their upliftment.
Naresh Gupta, Internal Coordinator of the CDTP scheme while interacting with the villagers introduced about the other activities of the CDTP Wing being carried out through the main centre as well as the extension centers.
He stressed upon the locals to identify trainees so that skill development training in Electrician and Plumber trades will be started at these extension centres.
He emphasized upon the trainees to put maximum effort in practically learning the skills so that this activity results in enhancing their skill and augmentation of the family income.
On the occasion certificates were distributed among the beneficiaries who have completed their training at this center.
Gupta also announced that new batch of trainees in Garment designs being started at this center.
OP Gupta, Chairman, Grameen Vikas Sangh, for coordinating with the institute in identifying the training needs of the extension centre areas. He appreciated the selfless services of the NGO in rural Development.
OP Gupta, Chairman Grameen Vikas Sangh, Deepak Dubey BDO Akhnoor, Ramesh Kumar AGM NABARD, Mr Watal, AGM Reserve Bank of India, Shiv Charan Bhagat, Manager J&K Bank Akhnoor, Dinesh Gupta Manager RBI Jammu, Colonel Bana Ram Sharma, besides many others were present on the occasion.
