JAMMU, Sept 13: The National Incredible Literacy Mission (NILM) J&K conducted an awareness program on drug abuse at Aroma Foundation Public School, Lower Roopnagar, Jammu.
The program featured a series of engaging presentations, interactive sessions, and discussions led by experts in the field of drug prevention and counseling. The goal was to provide students with essential knowledge and practical tools to recognize, avoid, and address drug abuse issues.
R S Thakur (Project Director of NILM J&K) inaugurated the program with a compelling speech highlighting the critical need for awareness and prevention. “Educating our youth about the risks associated with drug abuse is crucial for fostering a healthier, more resilient generation. We hope this program will empower students to make positive decisions and seek help if needed,” he added.
Principal of the School, Rajni Sharma, emphasized the importance of such programs in fostering a safe and informed school community. School’s Vice Principal Kamal Sharma stated that it’s essential for the students to be aware of the realities of drug abuse and to have access to the right information and support.
