JAMMU, Feb 18: The Institute of Public Health and Hygiene (IPHH), Jammu organized an organ donation program in collaboration with State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO), Jammu and Kashmir.
The program was attended by students, staff and faculty members of the Institute. On the occasion, representatives of SOTTO deliver a talk and spread awareness on organ donation and transplant among all those present there. The main aim of the program was to make people aware of organ and tissue donation’s importance in saving thousands of lives every minute.
The organ donation awareness program, 2023, by the Institute of Public Health and Hygiene, sets a goal for every individual to donate their organs after death so as to eradicate organ scarcity in the country.
