JAMMU, May 8: Department of Fisheries today organized an awareness programme on Fish Culture at Bishnah.
A large number of Fish farmers from various villages of Bishnah attended the programme.
During the programme, Kulbhushan Verma, Assistant Director, Fisheries, Jammu, deliberated on various developmental schemes of the department of fisheries for the welfare of Fish farmers.
The fish farmers were apprised of latest techniques on fish farming prevalent in progressive states of India. The farmers were also provided the technical demonstration at one of the fish farmers’ pond site.
The farmers also highlighted the various problems faced by them regarding timely availability of fish seed, proper feeding pattern, commonly encountered diseases, etc on fish culture.
The Assistant Director, Fisheries, Jammu, assured the farmers to sort out their problems regarding fish seed and others soon.
