JAMMU, June 21: In an emergency meeting of Agriculture Workers & Casual Labour Union (AWCLU) Jammu the issue regarding regularisation of casual labourer, DRW, permanent daily wagers and skilled labourers in Directorate of Agriculture Krishi Bhawan Tallab Tillo here, today.
Meeting was chaired by Davinder Singh Bittu president (AWCLU) and yesterday the Union met Deputy Director Central, Inderjit Singh and apprised him about a letter in the name of Jammu and Kashmir Casual Labour United Front and termed it as fake. They said that the casual labourers of the department are not going on protest any where at Chinore farms, seed processing unit and no call has been given by the Casual Labour Union in this regard.
It is the handiwork of some anti casual labourers who are hell bent to sabotage the cause of casual labourers who are demanding their regularisation of their services for a long time., Davinder Singh Bittu president of the Union further appealed to LG G C Murmu, Principal Secretary, Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Department, Navin Kumar Choudhary to look into the matter of casual labours as they have given whole life to the department and are providing their services regularly.
President assured the Director Agriculture Jammu, Inder Jeet and Farmers Welfare Department that there will be no protest in the department and the work will be going as on as usual.
Vice president of the Union, Talik Raj Bhagat, Ganesh Dass, Surinder Kumar Pujari, Kulbushan Kumar, Chan Singh cashier of the Union and others were present in the meeting.
