Azad expresses grief over loss of lives in Thanala accident

Jammu, June 23: Reiterating his concern over increasing road accidents, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Ghulam Nabi Azad today once again called for the constitution of an ‘Expert Group’ to study the issue in totality and suggest short and long-term measures to curb tragedies on roads in the State.
Conveying heartfelt condolences to the families of those who have died in the accident near Thanala Bhaderwah, when an ill-fated Maruti Van met with an accident on Bhderwah-Chamba Road, Azad said ‘my heart goes out to those who have lost their nears and dears’. He also conveyed his sympathies to those who sustained injuries in this tragic accident.
He urged the State Government to make available required medical assistance to all those who have been injured and shifted to Government Medical College Jammu for higher level of care and treatment.
