SRINAGAR, Feb 3: Former Chief Minister and candidate for Rajya Sabha polls, Ghulam Nabi Azad today met MLAs Hakim Mohammad Yasin and Engineer Rashid to seek their support.
Azad met both Hakim and Rashid separately and sought their support for the Rajya Sabha polls scheduled later this week.
Hakim confirmed his meeting with Azad and said he, Engineer Rashid and M Y Tarigami will take a collective decision regarding voting in RS polls. “Azad sahib is my friend and friends don’t need an occasion to meet,” he said.
Engineer Rashid also confirmed his meeting with Azad and said that he will not take any hasty decision.
Vote of Tarigami, Hakim and Rashid will decide Azad’s fate who is seeking re-election for Rajya Sabha. Tarigami, has, however, already made it clear that he will vote for Azad to keep BJP at bay.
